I am a 4th –generation commercial artist with 25 years experience based in Southern California. I am

experienced in freehand airbrush, hand drawn and digital illustration, graphic design, photo retouching,

archive remastering, and art direction. I have years of experience living and working at the intersection of

music and fashion, creating distinctive looks for new tours and merchandise, and focusing on image branding .

I have extensive experience in the apparel industry, designing clothing lines and clothing primarily for rock

music licensees.

In late 2005 I left Dragonfly to pursue freelance work. In that capacity my client list includes:

• 10th Street Entertainment/Management: Created graphic campaign for Motley Crue tour launch and

retail licensed merchandise. Developed and produced stage clothing for band performances, photo

shoots and public relations.

• Bandmerch: Created graphics for tour merchandise and retail merchandise for the bands Linkin Park

and System of a Down.

• Bravado USA: Created graphics for tour and retail merchandise for Bon Jovi, Sex Pistols, Metallica,

Avenged Sevenfold, Evanescence, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

• Brothers Entertainment: Created graphic campaign and designs for licensed merchandise with Bon Jovi.

• Dunlop: Created packaging graphics for guitar strings, guitar accessories, and licensed merchandise.

• East End Management: Created graphics for tour merchandise for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

• Jimi Hendrix Estate: Created graphics for retail merchandise, apparel collections, numerous other

products, and promotional materials as well as multiple projects in coordination with licensees such as

Guitar Center, English Laundry, and Dunlop Manufacturing.

• MGR Entertainment: Created graphics for tour merchandise for Bob Dylan, Billy Idol, Los Lonely Boys,

Ozomotli, and Martina McBride.

• Royal Underground: I was a founding partner of Royal Underground. Created brand identity, all

collections, graphic design, illustrations, marketing materials, spec sheets, catalogs. Developed

merchandise prototypes working overseas and provided all domestic proofing sampling for production.

• Service First Specialty Food and Marketing LLC (dba Carlos Santana Organic Foods): Created brand

identity, website graphics, product labels, artwork and design of product carriers, business card

graphics, and other artwork in support of their Santana Salsa, Santana Mole sauce, and other food

products under the Carlos Santana Organic Foods label leading to product trials at Costco. Personally

recommended for the job by Carlos Santana.

• Signatures Network/Live Nation: Contracted as a Design Consultant/Commercial Illustrator to work on

all specialty projects for premiere artists. Responsible for the creation of new designs and re-mastering

classic artwork (such as the Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club” album cover). Created artwork

for The Beatles, Barbara Streisand, KISS, Kid Rock, Fergie, Black-Eyed Peas, Bernie Taupin, Velvet

Revolver, Slash, Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Hatebreed and more.

• Universal Tone Management/Carlos Santana: I have provided graphics and illustrations to the Santana

companies since 2005. Produced original artwork for use on tour merchandise, retail merchandise, and

backstage passes. Re-mastered vintage Santana artwork including the Abraxas Alphabet, and

remastering the Abraxas Angel. Designed custom Santana apparel, created line sheets for sales

presentations to retail buyers, and created and the co-branded Santana/NHRA pit crew shirts for Cruz

and Tony Pedregon and retail merchandise for NHRA events. Created custom stage clothing for Carlos

Santana and his band.

• Marty Noble: Marty Noble (my mother) is a renowned artist with 50+ years of experience who has

worked for Franklin Mint and Dover Publications as well as many other customers. I have worked with

Marty on multiple contracts providing art services to her. Most recently I have assisted her in the

creation of 3 adult coloring books for Skyhorse Publications, providing rework to convert her hand-
drawn art into reproducible coloring book outlines.

Art Director and Senior Designer Dragonfly Clothing

2003-2005 Fullerton, CA

Hired as Senior Artist by Dragonfly Clothing, a major rock merchandise licensee. Provided artwork for all areas

of Dragonfly’s business, creating graphics for bands, celebrities, children’s sportswear, casinos, and the like.

Designed artwork under license to the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, The Who,

The Clash, Santana, The Ramones, Jimi Hendrix, KISS, and many others. In many cases I worked directly with

the performers, including Carlos Santana, Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx, The Marleys, Evel Knievel, Bootsy

Collins, and more.

Promoted to Art Director of the premiere/private label, music/licensing, and biker divisions. My job was to

supply a steady flow of new art for buyers from Wal-Mart, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Nordstroms, Hot Topic, and

other retail outlets, and for casino buyers including the MGM Grand, Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, Mandalay Bay,

and the Hard Rock. Responsible for development of product lines, style guides, and product control including

meeting with local and overseas production and manufacturing departments, Responsible for all phases of

product development including spec-packs, lab dips, embroidery/embellishment, printing, design compliance

with licenses. Provided new collections, catalogues, and displays for trade shows. The job required interfacing

with license companies such as Bravado and Signatures Network, vendors, manufacturers, distributors, and the

entertainers whose artwork was being licensed to Dragonfly.

At Dragonfly I interfaced with virtually every department to ensure end-to-end quality control and to support

the business objectives of Dragonfly. This included working with the Operations group to resolve issues with

production; leading cross-department creative sessions for tour and retail project kickoff, and creating and

directing primary art presentations to prospective clients of Dragonfly.
